Who we are

We are your outsourced Health & Safety department. Health and Safety legislation has a reputation for being restrictive and excessively demanding on business owners, particularly SMEs; we don’t share or encourage that view.

Health and Safety legislation has contributed to the UK having one of the most impressive safety records in the world. We specialise in ensuring that our clients achieve compliance with the relevant legislation efficiently, effectively, and economically, so they can concentrate on doing whatever it is that they do best.

We know that our clients want to protect the health, safety and welfare of their workforce, customers, and visitors, without compromising their bottom line. We implement systems and procedures that allow them to do just that.


Director at Rhino Safety

Simon has over a decade’s worth of health and safety experience and is highly qualified in this field. He is a Chartered member of IOSH and is also on the review panel for potential Charterships. Simon concentrates on the health, safety, fire and environmental side of the business but also on the overall strategy.

Our director Cate, along with Simon founded Rhino Safety Limited back in 2015. Cate’s background is education and employment law. She is a qualified coach and lecturer in HR and Employment law. Cate is our Operations Director and manages all the staff, accounts, Networking and business development. Cate also does a lot of public speaking on behalf of Rhino Safety and is a passionate advocate of continuous personal and professional development. Cate was recently announced as one of F:Entrepreneur’s 2019 Top 100 businesswoman! Cate is a Governor at her daughters’ primary school and loves walking her two rescue dogs.



Andrews background has been predominately in the hospitality industry from starting in Hotels in London to cruise ships in the Caribbean to Pubs all over the UK. For the past 17 years Andrew has been delivering Training to all levels of staff and Management in the Licensed Retail Trade via his training company.


Business Development Manager

Charlotte joined in August as our business development manager. Charlie has an automotive background as well as previously being an HGV driver. Charlie has many years experience in customer service and sales. She will be using the skills she has developed over the years to take on this new role within team rhino. Charlie is a mum of 2 and a strong believer in women can do the same as men.


Marketing Manager

Julie has over 15 years experience in Online Marketing having worked for Holidaybreak as an Online Content Manager. As our marketing manager Julie is in charge of our social media, digital execution and content creation as well as general marketing and internal and external communications.


Health and Safety Consultant

Karl joined us in March 2020 as our 5th Health and Safety Consultant. Karl previously worked for a Tipi and Marquee company where he was responsible for all of the on-site health and safety. A large part of Karl’s role also involved customer service and he is going to be a valuable asset to the Consulting team.


Senior Health and Safety Consultant

Kevin has had a varied background in maintenance, manufacturing, horticulture, waste, recycling, fire and safety consultancy and having previously been a Health, Safety and Environment manager, he can appreciate the difficulties that businesses face when looking for external guidance and support and will be using these skills to assist our clients.


Health and Safety Consultant

Peter has joined us from the Royal Mail where he lead a safety team as part of a continuous improvement programme. This focused on accident investigation, control measures against accidents, risk assessments and preventative measures in different work areas and implementing active monitoring methods. He also undertook workplace inspections for the plant and collated and stratified all the data from active monitoring, identifying any positive or negative trend. Peter’s experience will help him to hit the ground running with Rhino.



Phil has sixteen years’ experience in the leisure/hospitality/education sector. He has taken on a number of health/safety roles and has been delivering First Aid and Health/Safety training for ten years. More recently he started his own business delivering a wide range of training and consultancy specialising in Leisure and Education, at the start of 2021 this business merged with Rhino Safety to become our new training division.


Admin Assistant

Sarah joined the team in July 2021 as our admin assistant. Sarah has an extensive career in administration and before joining us Sarah was a home administrator for a care home. During her spare time Sarah enjoys walking her rescue dog Kopa, seeing friends and watching sport.


Health and Safety Consultant

Having worked as part of a team responsible for the health and safety of projects at a prestigious automotive manufacturer, Sarah joined Rhino Safety in December 2017 as a Health & Safety Consultant. Sarah’s role involves assisting clients from a diverse range of industries in all Health & Safety related matters, from inspections and risk assessments, through to SSIP accreditations and accident investigations.


Office Manager

Shirley joined Rhino Safety as our Office Manager in October 2018 and deals with the day-to-day running of the office, including supporting the Rhino team and looking after the accounts function. With her many years of experience within various organisations Shirley brings a wealth of knowledge from the previous roles she has undertaken.
