Getting nominated and winning awards is always a boost to any business, and Rhino Safety has enjoyed its fair share of the limelight. But never become complacent!
Let’s face it, being part of a winning group of companies at any Business Awards night is a bonus, a real treat for management and staff alike.
That your business is being highlighted as an industry leader, an innovator and a genuine success story is without doubt something to be shouted about. And you want to give it some volume.
At Rhino Safety, getting the business up and running, offering a quality service and giving real value to our clients was always the number one priority.
Then, out of the blue, we scooped the South Cheshire Chamber Business Start-Up of the Year (2015) title. It really was unexpected, but recognised a lot of hard work.
We were 100% focused on developing the business, so to get acknowledged early on was a massive boost to everyone associated with Rhino Safety.
Of course there was back-slapping, congratulatory emails and a few glasses of fizz enjoyed to help wash down the undoubted success of being the best in the business.
But the smug grin didn’t last long. Soon after we realised that those good times, glittering awards and outstanding achievements should be part of the evolving business – and not one-off highlights.
So it was immensely rewarding to be finalists in the Trinity Mirror Cheshire Business Awards (2016) for Corporate and Social Responsibility, and commended in the Staffordshire Business Awards (2016) under the Small Business Category.
The accolades were hugely beneficial, as we also picked up some valued clients on the back of the good news spreading.
The ongoing goal is simple: knuckle down, keep providing a fresh and honest approach to health and safety, treat every client with respect and deliver great results. Be the best you can be.
That way, the vital partnerships will flourish. That’s how a business grows, because people enjoy working with you and benefitting from the services you offer.
If the awards keep coming – fantastic. I suppose like most sports stars; you are only as good as your last performance.
That’s surely the perfect leveller, knowing that you must maintain and exceed your own high standards.
P.S. Make sure you keep nominating us!
