Our Level 3 First Aid at Work Qualification covers a wide range of CPR and first aid skills, equipping the first-aider to apply first aid to a range of specific injuries and illness. This three-day course provides you with an in-depth knowledge of CPR and first aid skills, providing you with the skills to ensure a safe working environment. The qualification is Ofqual accredited and valid for three years, making it suitable for all industries and enabling you to meet HSE requirements. The course comprises of practical work and theoretical classroom work, as well as a practical assessment on CPR and first aid.

This First Aid at Work Requalification course is for those who need to renew their first aid at work certification to ensure they are up to date and compliant.

Having a good understanding of emergency paediatric first aid is incredibly important for the safety of children and it could mean the difference between life and death.

This qualification has been designed in-line with the current Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements and is ideal for:

  • Those who have gained a level 2 or 3 childcare qualification and have entered into an early years setting and wish to be included in the staff to child ratios to comply with the EYFS requirements.
  • Anyone who cares for infants and children, such as parents, guardians, grandparents.

Raising awareness of poor Mental Health and breaking down stigma in the workplace Promoting good mental health inside and outside of the workplace is essential.

It is particularly important as we understand more about how poor mental health can negatively affect our relationships and resilience to overcome challenges at in work and everyday life.

Our Level 2 First Aid for Mental Health Qualification is suitable for everyone but has been designed to help employers to provide a positive mental health culture within the workplace. The course aims to provide you with comprehensive knowledge on a range of the most common mental health conditions and the skills to be able to act should a condition be suspected. Upon completion you will be a qualified First Aider for Mental Health and can become a point of contact within the workplace to help and support those with a suspected mental health condition

Level 2

Our Level 3 Supervising First Aid for Mental Health Qualification builds on the Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health but covers a wider range of mental health conditions. You do not need to have any previous experience or hold any other mental health qualifications to attend. The level three qualification goes into more detail on the range of therapy and professional support that a person may be given by professional bodies during treatment for a mental health condition. The course is suitable for all persons within a workplace but is aimed at those who hold a supervisory/managerial level position and who have responsibility for implementing a positive mental health culture and responsibility for First Aid for Mental Health within an organisation.

A Fire Marshal is a person appointed to fulfill the role of Fire Marshal within an organisation.

The Fire Marshal acts by preparing and planning, practising and reviewing emergency procedures in the workplace, thereby minimizing the potential loss of life, property and damage to the environment in the event of fire.

The Fire Marshal takes control of emergency evacuation from premises in the event of fire.

Under current legislation, the responsible person for fire safety within a building has a legal obligation to provide an adequate means of escape for all occupants on the premises. If a fire breaks out, lifts cannot be used and people with mobility impairments are sometimes left behind to wait for the emergency services due to inadequate evacuation methods over alternative flights of stairs. Evacuation chairs offer a much safer and quicker solution for evacuation in an emergency.

Our Manual Handling (principles and practice) Qualification provides an ideal approach to safer and more effective manual handling – not only meeting HSE recommendations, but also promoting good and safe practices in any situation. All workplaces involve some form of manual handling such as lifting, carrying, pulling and pushing. Injuries resulting from incorrect manual handling in the workplace account for over one million lost working days, avoid injuries in the workplace by training your staff on correct manual handling techniques. The risks arising from manual handling have been recognised by the Health and Safety Executive resulting in them introducing regulations and advisory activities promoting good practice. Upon completion of the qualification, you will have an understanding of safe manual handling, manual handling risk assessment, principles of manual handling safety, applying manual handling principles.

Our Health and Safety in the Workplace Qualification is an excellent introduction to health and safety in the workplace proving you with an understand as to why Health/Safety is important. The course is beneficial for all employees but specifically supervisors, managers or those who may be accepting a health and safety role such. This course is aimed at the Hospitality Industry to reduce violence and attracting drug use/sales in the workplace.

Putting strategies in place to improve communication and to lower the risk faced by staff and your customers.

The course is very interactive and uses a number of role play scenarios to raise awareness of common place incidents

The second half of the day is a physical interaction course to introduce some basic “Breakaway and Getaway” techniques to minimise the risk of aggression that my be faced.

The QA Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (RQF) confirms the ability to meet ‘license to practise’ requirements.

This 1 day course allows holders of the qualification to apply for a personal licence under the Licensing Act 2003 (England and Wales) which allows the holder to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol on licensed premises.

A personal licence is also required to apply to become a designated premises supervisor (DPS).
